Product Description

What Does It Take to Care for a Lion?

This VIP tour begins at 3 p.m. and takes you behind the scenes to learn how the animal caretakers look after this pride of the Zoo. Not for the faint of heart, tour-goers will be surprised by the sights and the sounds they encounter inside the lions' den. There will be an opportunity, too, to see a caretaker conduct a training session with one of the lions.

Tour Date: Saturday September 19, 3 p.m.

Tour Pricing: $104.25 for Society members   $119.25 for non-members

Tour Logistics: Meet your Society tour guide at the main lion habitat viewing area. This program lasts about one hour.

Tour Requirements: Children must be at least 12 years old to attend this tour. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Tour size is limited to 6 people. Please note that VIP passes do not cover admission fees to enter the North Carolina Zoo.

ADA  Status: This barn's interior is ADA accessible, but a short walk over an uneven substrate is required to arrive at the barn. Please make a note in the Special Instruction blank on your order form to let us know if you think you might need assistance to travel down this bumpy path.
