How to Entertain a Cougar

This VIP tour takes you behind the scenes to explore how the Zoo's animal caretakers provide for North America's largest small cat, the Cougar (a.k.a. Mountain Lion, Panther, Catamount, Puma, etc.). The adventure includes a tour of the caretakers' behind the scenes work area, as well as conversations on how the caretakers train the cats and alligators and keep them engaged in healthy activities.

Tour Date: Saturday, May 2, 2020; 1:30 p.m.  (rain date, same time is Sunday, May 3)

Pricing: $94.25 each for Society members        $109.25 each for non-members

Tour Logistics: This tour begins at 1:30 p.m. when you meet your Society guide at the Cougar habitat. The program lasts approximately an hour and includes the opportunity to see the ways that cougars and alligators are trained to cooperate in their own care. 

Tour Regulations: Children must be at least seven years old to attend this tour. Tour size is limited to 6 people. Please note that VIP passes do not cover admission fees to enter the North Carolina Zoo.
