Up Close With the Grizzly
This VIP tour begins at 1:30 p.m. and takes you behind the scenes to learn how the Zoo's animal caretakers manage one of North America's largest predators. The tour will acquaint you with some of the techniques that the caretakers use to entertain the bear to keep it fit and active. The caretakers will also discuss the Red Wolves, and the role that the Zoo has played in trying to protect and preserve this highly endangered native species.
Tour Date: Saturday, March 7, 2020; 1:30 p.m.
Pricing: $104.25 each for Zoo Society members; $119.25 each for non-members
Tour Logistics: Meet at the Grizzly viewing area next to the grizzly bear sculpture. This program lasts approximately one hour.
Tour Requirements: Children must be at least 10 years old to attend this tour. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Group size is limited to 10. Please note that VIP passes do not cover admission fees to enter the North Carolina Zoo.
ADA Status: This tour is ADA accessible, but participants must take a short walk over an uneven substrate to reach the back area. Please make a note in the "Special Instructions" section of your purchase form if you think you might need assistance walking through this area.
