2027 - Private Tour Rhino - April

Tour Overview: This tour begins at 10:45 at the life-size rhino sculpture near the Watani restrooms in Africa and usually ends around noon. An open air shuttle transports guests from the Stedman Education Center to the off-habitat rhino paddocks and barn to meet with zookeepers to see how they train and manage these animals. Guests have the opportunity to pet the rhinos while visiting the paddocks. Private tours are limited to 6 guests for the base price, but additional guests can be added for $100/person up to a total of 12 for this experience.

Age Requirements: Children must be at least 8 years old to attend this tour, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

ADA Status: ADA Accessible, but this tour involves walking short distances over uneven terrain. Please note mobility issues on the tour order form so that we can be prepared to assist guests if necessary.

Current Health Requirements:  Guests are required to wear non-latex gloves (provided) to participate in petting the rhinos on this tour.

If we change the medical restrictions noted on the tour after selling tickets to the program, we will email ticketholders about these changes. Ticketholders who cannot accommodate introduced changes can receive a full refund for their tour purchase or, if they prefer, may sign up for an alternate tour with acceptable health restrictions.
