Product Description

This tour begins at 1:30 p.m. in front of the Gorilla Habitat

Tour Overview: Guests walk to a non-public viewing area behind the Gorilla habitat to meet with zookeepers to learn how they care for the Zoo's Gorillas and Hamadryas Baboons.

Keepers discuss some of the important health challenges gorillas face and demonstrate how gorillas are trained to assist in monitoring their health.

Guests also learn details about gorilla and baboon behaviors and the Zoo's African field work with wild gorillas.

This tour usually ends between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. Guests may not take photographs during this tour.
