2026 Valentine Adoption

Let your special Valentine know that you are stuck on them by virtually adopting “Griddle,” the Zoo’s alarmingly charming North American Porcupine!

Your Valentine surprise will arrive with a snugly, not prickly, plush porcupine and a colorful postcard declaring that you are stuck on your beloved. We also include an adorable photo of Griddle, a Certificate of Adoption that certifies your Valentine as the adopting parent, some sweet chocolates, a fact sheet about North American Porcupines, and, if you tell us what to say, a special Valentine’s message from you.  We mail the entire package to you, if you want to deliver it in person, or, if you prefer, to your Valentine’s doorstep in time for the big day.  

This special Valentine package is available only from the North Carolina Zoo Society, and proceeds from its sale will support the North Carolina Zoo.
